Julianna and Lee :: A Vibrant Camp Wedding With Pops of Pink in Texas Hill Country

Thank you Brides for this feature!

β€œJulianna Beathard had a crush on Donald β€œLee” Siratt all throughout college at Texas Christian University, but it wasn’t until her wig-themed 22nd birthday party during her final semester in January of 2018 that she finally met him in person. Lee spotted Julianna in the crowd and decided to introduce himself. β€œUpon walking up to Julianna, the only words that came out of his mouth were, β€˜Hi, I’m Lee,’” the couple recounts. β€œAnd then, he was speechless!” Luckily, the two of them crossed paths again two weeks later, and Lee managed to get Julianna’s phone number. A month later, they went on their first date.

After two years together on November 20, 2020, the couple had plans to grab dinner at Joe T. Garcias, a Mexican restaurant, with friends who were visiting from out of town. β€œWhen arriving at the courtyard of the restaurant and turning the corner, Julianna saw a sea of familiar faces, and her heart started beating fast,” the couple remembers. β€œShe knew something was going on, but shock was setting in, and what was really going on hadn’t quite hit her.” Before she knew it, Lee was down on one knee, asking to take Julianna’s hand in marriage. Since Lee had invited all of their family and friends to the surprise, they spent the rest of the evening drinking margaritas, eating Mexican cuisine, and dancing. β€œIt was such a fun, love-filled weekend,” they summarize.

Once the duo got engaged, they locked in their venue: The Retreat at Balcones Springs in Marble Falls, Texas. This 250-acre locale in Texas Hill Country was a no-brainer for the couple because Julianna’s aunt started the camp. The bride-to-be even spent nine summers as a camper on the site and frequently visited the spot for holidays and family gatherings. β€œWhen Lee came into the picture, Julianna was thrilled to show him what it was all about,” the couple says. β€œSince then, Julianna and Lee have created many wonderful memories at camp and were so excited to share its magic with their favorite people.”

To capture the full essence of the camp for their 312 guests, the pair knew they wanted to host three days of events. β€œWith so many enjoyable components, such as beautiful cabins for our guests to stay in, a lake, a beach, pickleball courts, a workout studio, a zipline, we knew the retreat would be the perfect venue for a weekend-long celebration,” they share. Because Julianna and Lee had many moving parts to account for, they found the planning process to be overwhelming at times. β€œHowever, we had such great support from our team, all of whom shared a similar vision, which made it organized, fluid, and prepared to pivot when needed,” the two explain.

With planning by Lexie Perez of Pearl Events Austin, photography by Caroline Lima Photography, and videography by Peyton Frank, Julianna and Lee were able to pull out all the stops on October 30, 2021. Keep scrolling to see all of the stunning details from their big day.”

Alex and Tim :: A Modern Black and White Wedding Design at the South Congress Hotel

Rain on your wedding day might not be everyone's ideal forecast, but for Alex and Tim, it turned out to be a serendipitous blessing in disguise. Their modern black and white wedding, accented with marble and big statement signage, unfolded at the South Congress Hotel in Austin, Texas, on a rainy day that only added to the enchantment.

Alex and Tim chose a timeless black and white color scheme with touches of marble and texture accents. The juxtaposition of these classic colors with contemporary elements created a sophisticated atmosphere. The stark contrast of black and white exuded elegance, while marble accents added a luxurious dimension to the decor!

Some of our favorite details were the large real marble bar signs. We adhered custom vinyl on the front of each large (and heavy!) slab. Another one of the standout elements of this wedding was the oversized signage strategically placed throughout the venue. These signs served both aesthetic and functional purposes. With bold fonts and elegant designs, they directed guests while also serving as impactful focal points in the decor. And we can’t forget the custom pet sketches! Always a favorite!

Thank you for letting us be a part of your special day, Alex and Tim! We loved every minute of it!

Alexa and Blake :: A Modern Wedding Style at a Texas Ranch Outside San Antonio

Working with Alexa and Blake was so much fun. Alexa’s vision for her invitation had us swooning even before we started designing! We loved creating the perfect invitation for a modern wedding at their Texas ranch, Dos Palomas Ranch in Boerne, Texas. We was inspired by the modern elegance of the Texas setting. The invitation design had to strike a delicate balance between the rustic charm of the ranch and the contemporary style of the couple. We chose a stark black and white color palette with hints of warm, earthy tones to reflect the Texan landscape. The invitation featured a fun elements, such as a custom map, vintage postage, and hand-drawn illustrations, all adding a touch of personality to the overall design. To bring in the modern element, we incorporated clean lines and minimalistic layouts, creating an invitation that beautifully captured the fusion of tradition and innovation that this wedding represented. The result was an invitation that set the tone for a celebration that seamlessly blended the natural beauty of the ranch with the couple's modern love story. It was an even bigger bonus tying in the invitation design to the magazine style photo display of their families’ love stories.

Maxi's 4th Birthday :: A Magical Frozen Themed Birthday Party

As a graphic designer, we love designing for birthdays! We began working with Maxi’s sweet mom, Katie, by creating a the perfect sign for the birthday girl's special day. It fit in seamlessly with the beloved Frozen characters, Anna and Elsa, with pastel blues and whites, adorned with snowflakes and sparkles. At the party, there were the cutest decorations such as balloons in the colors of the movie, twinkling lights hung that looked like bright little snowflakes and the most fun Elsa cake! The room will be filled with icy-hued balloon clusters and the birthday cake, designed with Frozen characters, and of course Olaf making his appearance. Maxi and her little guests were transported into the world of Arendelle! Great planning by mom!
